04. “Sri Lankan Traffic – The Real Rollercoaster”
🛵 TARA TAKES OFF – Laughs From the Road

Tara came to Sri Lanka expecting palm trees, tea, and serene tuk-tuk rides.
What she didn’t expect? A full-blown traffic symphony at 8 a.m.
As her tuk-tuk tried to squeeze through a traffic jam in Colombo, Tara counted:
- 3 buses pretending to be race cars,
- 2 cows chilling in the middle of the road,
- 1 uncle making intense eye contact while overtaking on the wrong side.
She clutched the seat as the driver muttered something about “karma” and honked in 5 languages.
“Is there a pattern?” she asked nervously.
“Yes, madam,” said the driver. “Chaos is the pattern.”
Suddenly, a chicken ran across the road.
“To get away from THIS!” Tara yelled.
One hour later, they had moved 200 meters. Tara swore she saw a snail overtaking them.
Moral of the story? In Sri Lanka, the real adventure isn’t the destination – it’s surviving the traffic!
